The platform also fosters a sense of community among people with similar interests. We believe not utilizing Reddit as a tool is a wasted opportunity. That’s why we’re looking at some of the more popular subreddits related to the keto diet.
Keto: The Home for Ketogenic Diets. r/keto is the main page for the keto-dieter on Reddit. At the time of writing this post, there are 2.3 million members. Regardless of your stage in the ketogenic diet, whether it’s your first day or you haven’t even looked at a carb in months, r/keto will offer you something of value. It’s a place to share thoughts, ideas, benefits, and experiences around eating within a Ketogenic lifestyle. Keto Diet for Beginners. Did you just commit to the keto diet without knowing anything about it? Great! You’ll want to head on over to r/ketobeginners once you inevitably encounter issues that are best discussed with people. Starting anything new is always tough. But doing it with a group makes it easier. r/ketobeginners is a subreddit for keto beginners to share their stories, ask questions and get support from other members. This is also a good place to spur motivation from seeing people’s real results after adopting the keto diet. If you’re looking for strictly before and after pictures, you’ll want to check out r/ketoprogress.
Although r/ketobeginners is a nice community, r/keto is much more comprehensive.
Keto Food Log. Write it. Share it. Are you someone who has trouble adhering to a diet unless there’s a Jillian Michael-like presence screaming in your ear? If so, or you are someone who experiences a less severe case of accountability issues, get your ass over to r/keto_food_log (how’s my trainer voice?). This subreddit is a place for people of Keto to log their daily food intake- for accountability as well as the benefit of folks new to Keto. It’s also a good place to strip the math that is usually required for strict adherence (counting and logging calories, macronutrients, etc. into an app or on paper), and remaining more food-focused.
